F.B.Eyes

some eyes wear steel-boned corsets
when terror strikes the gong
some eyes snarl teeth and hoodoo at
smart alecks in the throng

some eyes spill misty origins
and themes of strychnine harps
some eyes see doppelgängers
as decipherers of shards

some eyes strike inquisitions
at the slightest hint of fault
some eyes cook smoky recipes
coaxing ducats out the vault

some eyes rollerblade about
the sky like hooping-snakes
some eyes are satin black
braised in crystal flour cake

some eyes are feasts of beautiful
in cupreous or fern
some eyes sit across the sun
allayed and taciturn

some eyes need old reminders
about what it’s like to feel
some eyes speak new identity;
redemption’s color wheel

but the eyes i’m eyeing for…
flute to me like Flautist-Bee
and certify, with broadened glint,
they’ve only eyes for me
