i’ve roamed the depths and widths —
no dream without a test;
devoid below my panting feet…
unease within my chest.

how ancillary wings
upon my chassis latch
to fuel me ‘cross the mashing maze
with mere a drip in flask.

what builds to grasp the heights,
dismantles talk of luck;
unbolted vision lathed by faith
returns unswerving pluck.
