SUN POEM

kind

absorbing the warmth, kindness, and healing of sun

palm of sun through window climbs —
doesn’t break the pane;
leans against the dermal lines,
attentive to the pain;

percusses with an ariose:
an effleurage discourse;
imparts perspective, listening most,
pausing long its course;

italicizes atoms floating
sifted onto hairs
but doesn’t grouch about the coating;
assures the nervous hare

inside the wrangled spirit pooling:
fragility — when still —
(just upon the brink of cooling)
turns to springtide-steel.

and palm of sun out window climbs —
but leaves itself for wear
within the conscience’s redesign;
— and floats forever where.
