too
much
noise noise
poisoned noise
smothering sound
dominating decibels
pulling me pulling me pulling me into its madness like a sleuth
sound sounds good
but then
noise
noise
noise

too
much noise
in gestation
brobdingnagian-
mosquitoes-beating-their-
wings-in-the-middle-ear
noise and i’m
pulling it pulling it pulling it into my madness as a truth
that should not bespeak
that should just not be
i’m sensitive to its
highest-pitch forms
from the tortured
to the slaughtered
to the sirens’ wails
the sirens wail
when people
wail when
streets
swell
with
hell
